Intermediate 1 (P3)
In this course you will learn active Flying, (preparing for turbulence, recovery, and descending techniques…) ability to fly above mountain, and preparing for bad conditions+ Basic soaring.
We are not able to control weather conditions. That’s why you must prepare yourself for turbulence and unexpected recovery procedures, making your glider stable, and landing as soon as possible.
You will learn the glider’s stall and lift points to avoid accidents and perfect basic soaring. Using the speed bar is important when your glider is moving backwards. This will allow you to move forward again (5 km/hour or above) to correct this situation.
Steering the glider by weight shifting will make you able to control direction easier and quicker than using the control lines when you need to turn or change direction in the air.
You will learn procedures to control the glider for landing as soon as possible using Big Ears and B line risers. Finally, when your feet are on ground, using D risers will take your glider down quick and smooth.
Flying in windy or turbulent condition will be easy for you.
